Lyon

Last week I went to Lyon, France for five days. Along with exploring the city itself, I also visited some of the surrounding areas. It's a beautiful place to be in, rich with history and culture. They also have really good ice cream.

Herbstmesse in Basel

Went to the Herbstmesse (Autumn Festival) in Basel last weekend. Lots of rides, games and food. Kind of like a miniature Calgary Stampede, without the cowboy aspect. There are several stations spread throughout the city. Entrance was free, and then you could pay for additional things, such as rides. I also had a crepe with nutella and bananas, incredible. 

One of the rides I went on, a tall tower with swings on it, that lifts you above the rooftops giving you a beautiful view of the city. Very cold though!

Candy! I seem to be constantly surrounded by it in Switzerland, especially chocolate
