Camping Trip

On Friday I got back from a five day camping trip with my class in Lenk, a popular place for skiing.

On the second day, we took cable cars up a mountain.

We hiked for a few hours, and had lunch not far from where the cow is standing in the picture below. 

On the way back down, we rode these scooters.

Some of the neighbours organized a community party, complete with food and music.

Caves

Went to the St. Beatus caves today, which is where St. Beatus was said to have lived in the 6th century. The caves became open to the public in 1904. There is also a spot inside the cave where you can see the red initials left by Captain Johann Knechtenhofer in 1848. He was the captain of the first steamer on Lake Thun (pictured below).
